Paul and Kate's

Wee Wall Walk

From 19th - 25th September Paul and Kate will be walking the 84 miles of Hadrian's Wall. Their journey will take them from the shores of the Solway Firth to the west of Carlisle, over the northernmost outposts of the Pennines, and through the beautiful Northumbrian countryside round Hexham, before finishing at Wallsend at the mouth of the River Tyne.

En route they will be checking out the landscape, watching out for the local wildlife, and hopefully visiting some of the Roman sites along the Wall. (Maybe discovering more about Roman culinaelatrinae and foricae* as well!) They are particularly looking forward to their overnight stop in the wonderfully named Twice Brewed Inn (in the village of Once Brewed!).  And they will be writing a blog of their adventures as they go.

They are also hoping to raise a sizeable sum for the Pod Project, to provide kitchen and toilet facilities in St James' Church.

So, please consider sponsoring them. Please click here to go to the online giving page (you can choose your own amount if none of those featured is appropriate, and you will be given an opportunity to Gift Aid your donation if you wish), or sign up on one of the sponsor forms at the back of St James.

And watch out for the blog - it will be linked from this page.

Thank you
