Our next Messy Church will be 10am Saturday 21st March
For our celebration we will be focusing on the Passion Story from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.
We will be writing prayers on fig leaves and making crosses using both clay and scratch art. There will be Easter Garden biscuits, as well as making chickens (pop up and paper plates) crafting palm trees and donkeys (think like hobby horses but donkeys!) Plus, hunting for eggs in the Churchyard - and solving a puzzle.
There will be drinks, toast, and the joyful celebration at the end.
The next Worship for Everyone will be 10:30am Sunday 22nd March
Also, planning ahead, please make a note on your Calendar, the following
Messy Church will be 10am 18th April 2026.

Messy Church meets on the third Saturday of each month.

What on earth is Messy Church???
​
Most people think of 'church' as people sitting quietly in rows, saying quiet prayers and listening to someone talking for quite a long time.
And church services can be like that...
but they don't have to be.
​
People can come together to enjoy being with God in all sorts of ways.
The important things are that
we are together
we are listening to God
we are learning more about God
whoever we are, and whether or not we like sitting quietly in rows and all that.
​
Messy Church
gives familes of all ages, shapes and compositions the chance to
enjoy crafts and other activities
take part in some simple worship
and to have breakfast together.
​
It's great for those of us who think with our hands
and don't much like sitting still.
​
It meets once a month on Saturday mornings*
10 - 11:30am
in St James' Church
(but not in the pews!)
