Here's a quick intro to Rich in his own words.....

Hello!

Can I firstly say how lovely it has been to join you all at Shirley Parish and how grateful I am for the warm welcome.

​

A bit about me… I joined the clergy following a career as Head of Communications, predominantly in the Public Sector. I’m married to the lovely Tina, who is a Minister in the Methodist Church, with three churches in the Leamington Spa area. We have two grown-up children. Hannah lives locally and is a Social Worker, working in a school. Ben lives in Manchester and works in social media marketing for a large e-payments company.

Tina was born in Shirley and has lived here all her life. I’ve lived here since I joined Solihull Council, fresh from Uni, back in the early 90’s!

​

Growing up in Malawi, I’ve been a member of the Diocesan Malawi Task Group for several years. Following service as a member of Police staff, I also serve as a Police Chaplain for Warwickshire Police.

​

I’m grateful to Paul for allowing me to complete this second-half of my Curacy with you, and I look forward to meeting you all and serving in various ways alongside Richard too.
